Lettuce Turnip the Beet to reach our fundraising goal!

Howdy! Farm Needs YOUR HELP!

Our Goal!

With your support we believe Howdy! Farm can raise $45,000.

Read below to see our current plans, and then read even farther to see what your contribution will support!

Our New Sustainability Center: COMING IN MAY!!!

  • Completely reclaimed (used) materials
  • Housing classes and workshops
  • A hub for information dissemination
  • A commemorative representation of agriculture through the ages

We are literally growing our educational farm and student-run business by providing students with high-impact, experiential learning opportunities. Your contribution will fund day-to-day operations and sustainable demonstration garden construction, creating a beautiful, ecologically-oriented campus farm.

Our Mission is to serve the Texas A&M student body.  We will reconnect students with their food source, shaping future leaders in agriculture.

How You Can Help Us GROW!

Your role in the development.

  • The Zen Garden – featuring fruits and an interactive sand garden for student study and meditation!
  • The Sky’s the Limit Planter – raised garden featuring vertical vegetable towers and trellises
  • The Howdy! Farm Flagpole Garden – life-sized hops jungle, trellised up to the Howdy! Farm Flag
  • The New Field – bounded by wildflowers, demonstrating the best methods of sustainable agriculture

The Sustainability Building Enables Awesome Things For Aggies!

  • Student Gatherings – pursuit of sustainability, ecosystem management, and ethical business
  • Collaboration with Faculty – a component of agricultural, horticultural, and landscaping coursework and research
  • On-Campus Farmer’s Market – the Farm-to-Table purchase of organically grown produce directly from the source
  • Informative Workshops –  educating about organic farming, sustainability, and ecologically responsible agriculture.
  • Tours – student experts showcase innovative methods and activities, demonstrating our role in the sustainable ag movement

Becoming a permanent part of the Aggie Gardens and Greenway:

The Aggie Gardens and Greenway is a 45-acre stretch of gardens and greenway that will serve students and the community while protecting the natural ecosystems of White Creek.

  • Outdoor classrooms
  • Teaching gardens
  • Grassland and wildflower areas
  • Tree-lined trails

With your help Howdy! Farm has the opportunity to establish ourselves as a permanent destination within the Aggie Gardens and Greenway.

Expansion Partners Wanted

As an expansion partner, your name will go down in Howdy! Farm history.

Your contribution will ensure that Howdy! Farm makes a lasting impression on the Texas A&M campus as a valuable asset to the University’s growth in research and education.

  • This is YOUR chance to be a part of one of the most beautiful places on the Texas A&M campus!
  • Our expansion will demonstrate sustainable, organic, and intercropping methods of responsible agriculture.
  • These gardens will surround the Sustainability Center and act as an entrance to the Aggie Gardens and Greenway.

In the big picture – Aggies will be leading the sustainable agriculture movement in the United States today!
